PRINGSEWU, Sinarberitanews.com -- The Special Anti Bandit Team for the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Gadingrejo Police, arrested DL (37) a resident of Pekon Wonosari, Gadingrejo District, Pringsewu Regency, Lampung, on suspicion of gambling online lottery.


Kapolsek Gadingrejo Iptu Anwar Mayer Siregar, SH explained that the suspect was arrested while in one of the Lapo Tuak in Pekon Wonodadi, Gadingrejo District, Thursday (17/2/22) night at around 00.30 WIB.


.From the suspect's hands, the police managed to confiscate a number of evidences, including 7 copies of the lottery number installation, 1 pen, 2 ATM cards, 1 wallet, 1 cellphone and Rp.218 thousand in cash.


."We detained the suspect while waiting for the installer at one of the tuak laboratories in Pekon Wonodadi," he explained on behalf of the Pringsewu Police Chief, AKBP Rio Cahowidi, S.IK, M.IK on Thursday (17/2/22) afternoon.


.The police chief disclosed that the arrest of the perpetrator DL ​​has become the target of the operation because his activities have disturbed local residents and are currently being held in the Gadingrejo police headquarters cell for further investigation.


."The arrest of the lottery gambler was due to reports from the public, because their activities in conducting gambling transactions are always moving," he said


From the suspect's own statement, this online lottery gambling has been carried out by the suspect for the past year.


.The lottery installation number is recorded and sent to the city via short message (What's App) every day, while the installation money is sent via account transfer.


For his actions, the suspect and evidence were secured at the Gadingrejo Police Headquarters for further legal proceedings.
